Airasia vs MAS

This is absolutely crazy! I was eagerly waiting for this to come. Finally.. When the seats are open for public at 0800, 10Feb 2009, without delay I browse through the site and look for a place to visit. What else you could ask for from what Airasia offered. RM0.00 + No Fuel Surcharge!

However, I still browse through MAS website to compare the prices between these two airlines. I found out that the price MAS offered were slightly higher than Airasia. After spending the whole day on Airasia website (well, of course the site is congested and people are flocking to book the tickets), I add in more travel plan for this year and next year. I wonder how I can budget my financial for these trips. Here's the planned trip for this year and next year.

February 2009 - Kota Kinabalu
April 2009 - Makassar
November 2009 - Medan
January 2010 - Siam Reap

Well, Medan were actually a trip for the family as mom and dad wants me to look for a place to visit. So, this is a bonus for them as I always wanted to take them for a holiday. Now I have to prevent myself from browsing through Airasia so that I won't add in another trip this year.. Hahahaha..

Hmm.. Lama betul tak pegang camera nih.. So, satu hari tuh.. Dah takleh nak handle.. Start belek2 camera.. Tapi since dalam rumah.. Apa jer nak shoot. So, apa lagi.. Kucing2 menjadi mangsa la.. Hahahaha..

2008 - Recap

Well, I always thought of creating a post on what happened in 2008, but since I was kinda stuck with my hectic work stuffs, it is always delayed. Now, I'm slowly entering the things that happened in 2008. Well, sort of what I can remember..

January 2008 - The yearly holiday trip planned for this year and we choose Indonesia (well, it's a big country and there are so many places to visit plus the currency factor.. Hahahah) and the destination were Solo and Jogja. For me, I still find Indonesia interesting. The scenery, people, shopping and especially the foods. Well, Syah likes the foods a lot. Also many that you don't ever heard of are there in Indonesia.

February 2008 - I got myself a DSLR. My first DSLR, a Sony a200. Why Sony? I have always trusted Sony. No offence to other brands but I like to be different. To explore other brands. have the influece from my colleagues to buy Canon instead, but I choose Sony. And, until now, I am still happy with it..

May 2008 - I quit my job at BESSAR, well for several reasons. One, got another offer and better pay from a company, which were located in TPM also, but different area. The other one, someone is unhappy that I'm there and the project that we were doing are finally completed.

August 2008 - Alhamdulillah, me and Syah finally get the chance to perform Umrah. It was a fantastic unforgettable experience. So many things we explore, meeting so many people throughout the journey. InsyaAllah, maybe Hajj will come next.. Oh, and congratulations to my best friend, EZ who tied the knot with Zizi after 10 years of relationship.

October 2008 - After coming back from Umrah, Syah were admitted to Ampang Hospital. And the worse part is to see him with a tube in his neck because he has to do dialysis. Hari Raya were not really that good this year.

December 2008 - Landslide at Bukit Antarabangsa, it was horrible. Could never had imagine it would happened. Syah were still not in good condition. He were taken by a helicopter on the landslide day to HKL for his dialysis treatment. We have to evacuate our house and stayed for a week at Taman Melawati. The cats were taken along and were kept in the toilet, yes, seven of them and I couldn't stand it. After one and a half week, we managed to go babk to our home at Bukit Antarabangsa. However, Syah has to be admitted to Hospital Ampang as his conditions were getting worse. There were a small blister on his right foot. Finally, more of my close friends tied the knot. Congratulations to Syed & Kak Nor and Niza & Adly.

Hopefully 2009 will be a good year.. Goodbye 2008..

Constantine... A FEMALE??

Ok, setelah sekian lama delay nak hantar si Constantine sunat, finally last Saturday, me and Syah went to DBKL Vet kat Setapak. Setelah semalaman dikurung dalam bilik reading, si Constantine nih mesti pelik tetiba kena bawak keluar. Tak pernah keluar rumah la katakan.. Setibanya di vet tuh, kitorang drop Constantine dan pergi breakfast kat Jusco.

Dalam pukul 12.00, we went back to the vet to pick up si kecik nih. Tiba2, the doctor tuh bagitau yang si Constantine nih rupanya female.. Hehehehe.. Terkejut kejap. Mana taknya, amik masa kecik tak nampak apa2 pun lagik, then bila dia besar sket, dah penuh bulu tutup satu badan. Tapi takpa, Constantine tetap menjadi antara kucing kesayangan kami. So, bila dah bawak balik, since dia kena bius, masa utk amik gambo la.. Hehehehehe...

This doesn't comes together... Hahahaha..

Well, as for what can be seen here, this was originally a fruit basket given to Syah on his birthday. an dsoon, with the intelligence of our beautiful Gabrielle maskes full use of the spaces available to convert the basket (and yes, there were still some fruits left) to her bed.. Hahahaha..

Pet's Lover Magazine Photoshoot

Hmm.. Tgh tak tau nak update apa kat blog nih, asyik citer pasal keje jer bosan gak.. So, duk browse gambar-gambar kat dalam PC. So, ternampak lah folder gambar-gambar kucing. Ni masa shooting untuk magazine Pet's Lover Magazine, by Miss Pua. Syok tgk gambar-gambar nih.. Masing-masing dengan perangai tersendiri..

No DSLR at the moment..

Yesterday, I went to the Sony Service Center at Midvalley to have my a200 sent for cleaning and servicing. This includes the original kitlens which have some problem with the motor mechanism. Since it is under warranty, I sent both items for repair and maintenance. I met Pikiez at Midvalley, who also sent his a100 for cleaning, because he wants to sell it to his colleague to buy the Sigma 10-20mm Super Ultra Wide Lens. Gosh, it feels weird not having my DSLR around. Hopefully the new 'cleaned' a200 will be better.. Hehehehe..

Sheila Majid in Action

Finally, the day has come. Went to RTM to watch the recordings of Sheila Majid - Zoom In @ RTM. The recording were done in Auditorium Perdana. As expected, the rain aused some difficulties in reaching there by 8.00pm. I took off from the office 15 minutes to 6.00pm and the rain has stopped. Halfway to Jalan Yap Kwan Seng to pick up Syah, it started to rain again. Managed to reach there by 8.00pm, just in time to enter the Auditorium. Around 9.15pm, the recording starts with Sheila, as her usual style comes in with Jatuh Cinta. A few rarely performed songs followed as she wants to do something different.

But, she never left out her hits like Lagenda, Aku Cinta Padamu and a special duet performance of Ikhlas Tapi Jauh with Zainal Abidin, who that night performed two songs as he was the guest artist. What can I say.. She is truly a great performer. Can't wait to watch the recording on TV soon.. Heheheheh..

Why not much photos? Because the STUPID RTM Guards did not allow people to take photos. They almost rampas my camera after seeing me snap a few shots. What's wrong with these people la.. Macam la takut sangat kita nak sabotage Studio RTM tu.. But at least I got a few good shots! Hahahaha..

Kabus Pagi

Adeh, sungguh teruk cuaca lately nih. Hujan jer memanjang. Kalau tak hujan, complaint panas lak. Hehehe.. Anyway, satu pagi yang indah, time nak gi keje (as usual, kalau hujan memang lembab tul nak bukak mata nih), jenguk kat luar... Adui, sejuknya.. Kabus tebal lak tuh.. Naper lah time syok2 nih kena gi keje.. Tapi takpalah, kalau weekend camni kang tak best lak.. Hehehehe..

Sony Convention 2008

Alamak, telupa lak pasal Sony Convention 2008. Hmm.. Apa yang nak citer pasal Sony Convention ni ya.. One good thing that I'm proud to owned a Sony DSLR is that they community are very active. Almost every month ada jer outing nya. And the best part is that whenever Sony organize an event or outing, everything is free. Hahahaha.. Not to mention about the freebies la gak. Anyway, talk about the Convention.. It was a three day event held in Le Meridien. As mentioned earlier, everything is free. There are so many interesting things happened during the convention. A lot of talks, free non stop foods, motorbikes and models on display and the most poisonous thing is the launch of Sony's new 24.6mp Full Frame DSLR, a900! And I managed to met a lot of people that were only known from the alphanatics forum. It was fun, entertaining and resourceful event. Although no prize for me that day, I was satisfied. Thank you Sony.. like.no.other

Zoom In - Sheila Majid

Woohoo.. Came across a notification on Facebook that Sheila Majid will be having a Zoom In Recording session on 22nd October at Auditorium Angkasapuri. The Sheila Majid website did offer free passes by sending an email to them. So, we quickly sent out an email each to the webmaster for the passes. Unfortunately, me and Syah did not get the passes as they were given out within hours. So, move to plan B. Call my auntie who her daughter works at RTM. I ask whether if there are any free passes for the show.

Then, on Friday I received a call from my auntie with a very good news.. She have the passes for me! Phew, such a relief.. This will be the third time that me and Syah going there to watch Sheila Majid do her recordings. And the best part is.. I got five passes for the show. I was informed that those were the last five printout passes and it is all mine.. Hahahahaha.. I quickly informed Syah about it and he was jumping with joy.. Can't wait for it.. Too bad Roy couldn't join us to the show..

My New Communication Gadget

I am a Gadget Freak.. So, I have been eyeing on this one particular phone brand that I really found interesting. After a few weeks or months of surveying, I have come up with three choices.. Nokia E71, HTC Touch Pro and HTC TyTn II. So, finally went to The Mall yesterday (cannot tahan anymore) and went to Action Mobile to have a look at these three models to compare. First was the HTC Touch Pro. I like the sleek design and the stylish black colour, putting aside the features and functions. But, Syah didn't think it fits me. He said the design was horrible and it was kinda small for me. At that time, I'm using the Sony Ericsson p990i.. So, I put that aside and asked for the Nokia E71. Hmm.. No stock.. Hahahaha.. I have look at this phone actually and for me it's quite ok. The same features like the E90 it offers smaller size and more compact.

So, jump to the third model, HTC TyTn II. A PDA phone that really cool. Apart from the design, which is totally different from the HTC Touch Pro, I like this phone because it gives the full power and features like a mini computer. And the tilting screen is awesome.. Price factor between these two HTC Phone is around RM600. So, there u goes.. At the end, without any doubt, I bought myself a HTC TyTn II. And I like it very much!!!

Playing with my a200 on Hari Raya

During the first day of Raya, I were dead bored at home. Nothing much to do. Cannot eat anymore, nothing good on TV (Not pretty sure if they are still showing circus show pagi raya). So, since I have all my gears, went out to the lawn, took out my a200 and do some experiment. Well, I was bored though.. Might as well do something.

I shoot some flowers at my mom's lawn using a manual lens, Industar 50mm f2.8 and a close up filter (+4) which I attached with the kitlens. Just to do some comparison in terms of sharpness and picture quality. Here goes..

Salam Aidilfitri 2008

Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri. Setelah sebulan berpuasa, waktu yang ditunggu telah tiba. Tapi bagi aku takda yang extra special bila tiba Hari Raya ni. Sama seperti hari-hari lain. Cuma seronok bila dapat berkumpul satu family. So, kesempatan nih, aku bertemankan a200 menjalankan tugas photography di pagi raya. Tak banyak shots, sebab malsa dan lebih focus kepada juadah yang dah ada kat dapur.. Hehehehe.. Anyway, Selamat Hari Raya.. Maaf Zahir Batin..

Selamat Berpuasa & Selamat Hari Raya

Puasa datang lagi.. Time2 nih statistik penyakit 'Gastrik' akan tiba2 naik melonjak.. Hahahaha.. Anyway, puasa aku tahun ni macam biasa.. Buka puasa pun ala kadar jer. Takda nak makan heavy sangat. Kalau tahun-tahun sebelumnya, almost tiap2 minggu nak gi buffet di hotel. Tapi kalau nak tengok sekarang, memang tak berbaloi buffet di hotel dengan harga yang dikenakan.

Tanggal 11/9/2008, company aku ada buat buka puasa di The 39th Restaurant, PNB Darby Park. Tak silap, harga per-head dalam RM75++ seorang (nasib baik company bayar). Oklah, lagi pun makanan dia memang banyak. View menarik. Kena la dengan harganya tuh.

Ok, tak banyak cerita bulan puasa nih. Ala kadar jer. Anyway, post untuk hari raya akan dimasukkan kemudian. Lama tak bukak blog pun. Gambo pun tak sempat2 nak upload.
